Salt Room Cabins with HaloGenerator

Spa Quality HaloTherapy in the Comfort of Your Home

Salt Room Cabins are a form of active salt therapy and are growing increasingly popular.  They promote better breathing and clearer skin.  Salt Room Therapy uses a HaloGenerator to create a dry mist of microscopic salt particles in the surrounding area.  When inhaled, these microscopic salt particles attract moisture in the lungs, diluting mucus concentrations so they may be expectorated more easily.  This can provide relief from asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, COPD and other respiratory conditions.  When this salt mist comes in contact with the body, the natural anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties of salt result in healthier skin appearance and reduces the inflammation that contributes to acne, psoriasis and eczema.

Salt Room Cabins

While the dry salt mist is beneficial to our bodies, it is not good for carpets, sofas or other room surfaces.  For this reason, Sauna Zen makes self-contained, enclosed salt rooms from Canadian cedar wood cabinets.  While you cannot see the dry salt mist dispersed by the halogenerator as the particles are too small, over time these particle will fall from the air and accumulate.  This can be problematic to clean up.

The salt cabin itself consists of a large, Canadian white cedar cabinet with a glass door and is available in two sizes: two person and four person.   This cabinet creates an enclosed space, or room, isolating your salt room from the room it resides in from the salt mist, while maximizing your exposure to the dry salt mist’s therapeutic benefits.

The HaloGenerator is the heart and soul of salt room therapy.  At Sauna Zen, we offer three sizes of halogenerators.  Our smallest size halogenerator, which is included in your Sauna Zen salt room cabin can cover an area up to 150 square feet which is more than sufficient dry salt mist coverage for any of our self-contained salt rooms.

We also offer a larger, wall mounted halogenerator which provides dry salt mist coverage for large rooms up to 580 square feet (approximately 24’ x 24’) as well as a large portable HaloGenerator for coverage up 320 square feet.

The Sauna Zen HaloGenerators come completely programmed with three pre-set option for salt mist flow and ease of operation. The system is simple to use—just add the supplied pharmaceutical grade Himalayan salt to the salt hopper, choose your salt flow mode and sit back while you enjoy your Dry Salt Mist HaloTherapy session.  NOTE:  Always use pharmaceutical grade salt when using a halo generator as it is the only salt that will 100% dissolve in water and not remain in your lungs.

Additionally, a built-in Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna is included as a standard feature which means in between Salt Therapy sessions you can relax to the soothing heat of our low EMF sauna.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About Salt Room Cabins and HaloTherapy

Can I Do Salt Therapy in My Home?

You definitely can.  With Sauna Zen salt room cabins, you’ll be using the same halo generators used by spas and other commercial salt room centers.  This makes it possible to obtain the same quality, professional-grade salt therapy in the comfort of your home as you would in a spa.  Salt therapy at home is safe, easy to do and convenient.  This means you will probably do more salt therapy sessions, with less stress than commuting to and from a commercial salt room and you can schedule your sessions anytime you want.

What Clothing Should I Wear In The Salt Room?

As little as possible.  In fact, no clothing gives the best results.  This is another advantage of having your own in-home salt room—you’re free to wear as little as possible.  The reason for wearing as little as possible is to maximize the natural benefits salt provides your skin—the more skin that is exposed to the dry salt mist, the greater the benefits—as the salt mist serves as a natural exfoliant to remove dead and dry skin cells.  Additionally, the salt’s natural anti-inflammatory properties provide relief from acne, psoriasis and eczema.  The dry salt mist from the halo generator also works on you internally.  As you breathe in the mist, it widens your air passages and cleans out your mucous membranes so you breathe easier and deeper.

How Often Should I Schedule Salt Therapy Sessions?

We recommend two the three sessions per week, with each session running 45 minutes to an hour.  If you notice beneficial results from this schedule, you might consider increasing the number of weekly sessions to see if there is an increase in the benefits.  Conversely, if you experience any discomfort, cut back on the number of weekly sessions.

How Does Salt Therapy Affect Your Blood Pressure?

Eating too much salt has been linked to high blood pressure.  Salt therapy involves inhaling a dry salt mist.  Some salt therapy advocates claim it actually improves your blood pressure.  Since eating salt involves the digestive tract while inhaling salt involves the respiratory tract, it’s possible they are right. However, as always with medical issues, we strongly advise you consult your doctor, especially if you suffer from high blood pressure before attempting any form of Salt Therapy.
